Our Story

Native Groundworks was founded with a simple vision: to provide comprehensive landscaping services to enhance the beauty, functionality, and value of your residential property. Our team of experienced landscapers is dedicated to delivering exceptional results tailored to your unique vision and lifestyle.

Our owner and operator, Hawkins Howe, began his career in his hometown of Catonsville, Maryland. His love for landscaping began at a very young age when his father handed him a weedwacker and lawnmower. Hawkins began his entrepreneurial venture when he would walk door to door providing mowing services at 10 years old. 

 

He moved to South Carolina where he started began his landscaping business. Hawkins spent a year in South Carolina where he really learned the ins and outs of running a successful business. With the guidance of a wise mentor, Native Groundworks saw tremendous success in the Charleston area.

 

Regardless of the success, Hawkins wanted to move the business back up north to be around his family once again. In December of 2024, Native Groundworks was moved from Charleston to Frankford, DE and the rest is history!
